JACKIE CHAN DEAD OR ALIVE

Jackie Chan Dead 2013 RUMORS: Death Hoax DEBUNKED with Humorous Facebook and Twitter Posts, Martial Arts Actor Still Alive and Well [PHOTOS/VIDEO]

Chan
For those readers still unaware, rumors are currently swirling on the web that martial arts superstar Jackie Chan recently died after perfecting a "deadly" movie stunt in Hollywood... NOT TRUE. Just another morbid celebrity death hoax. Here's the full story as previously reported by Mstars:

Let's make this perfectly clear - "Rush Hour" actor Jackie Chan is NOT dead. So if fans see a shady Facebook pop-up app claiming that the 59-year-old actor recently died after perfecting a deadly movie stunt in Hollywood, DO NOT click it! It's spam... Chan is simply another victim of the morbid online celebrity death hoax (again).
This isn't the first time Chan's been mysteriously killed-off on the web. But now, there's a viral Facebook pop-up that looks so legit, fans are actually falling for the disturbing hoax yet again!

Hoax

If readers see this app on Facebook, don't open it. Not only is the report totally untrue, but it's likely spam.
Chan did NOT pass away in a freak movie stunt accident... and there's no viral "video clip" of his last, dying breath.
Here's what some Twitter fans are saying:
@OhNoSheDidnt22: "I really don't understand why people would even say that sum1 is dead when they're not. Especially jackie chan."
@jess2sick: "Why are there rumors that Jackie Chan died? He's not dead. It stresses me out. I almost called my dad."
@discocat32: "Jackie Chan is dead... AGAIN!! Really??? That's fifteen times this year alone!! He must be really ill."
Chan initially fell victim to the online death hoax in 2011, and then again earlier this summer. Back in June he posted a rather amusing Facebook update to prove he's still alive. But first, here's the bogusGlobal Associated News report that started the whole thing:
"Actor Jackie Chan died while filming a movie in Kitzbühel, Austria early this morning - June 23, 2013 (obviously the fake obit generates up-to-date deaths). Preliminary reports from Austrian Police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 50 feet to his death in a remote area of the Hahnenkamm mountains while on-set during the filming of a movie. Specific details are not yet available. The accident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. (UTC/GMT +12)."
Several fans fell for the story posted on the PRANK news website. But Chan IS NOT dead - and he has visual evidence to prove it!
Chan posted this message on Facebook and Twitter on Friday, June 21:
成龍 Jackie Chan:
"Hi everybody! Yesterday, I got on a 3am flight from India to Beijing. I didn't get a chance to sleep and even had to clean my house when I got home. Today, everybody called to congratulate me on my rumored engagement. Afterward, everybody called me to see if I was alive.
If I died, I would probably tell the world! I took a photo with today's date, just in case you don't believe me! However, thank you all for your concern. Kiss kiss and love you all!
P.S. My dog is healthy, just like me! He doesn't need surgery! By the way, my dogs are golden retrievers, not Labradors."

Home Made Records

Help
Record collectors usually go in search of rare and valuable copies of albums by iconic artists. But Johan Kugelberg has instead unearthed a collection of vinyl treats by musicians who probably never sold a single copy.
The book Enjoy the Experience, edited by Kugelberg along with Michael P Daley and Paul Major, chronicles the rise and fall of the homemade record, from the 1950s to the early 1990s.
He talked to the BBC about the music - and the art work - created by Americans who may never have made it big - but who at least made a record.
Produced by Bill McKenna, Sune Engel Rasmussen and Charley Jaffe, filming by Andrew Herbert

FRANCE'S MARION RETIRES

Tearful Marion Bartoli announces retirementFrance's Marion Bartoli announces retirement from tennis

A tearful Marion Bartoli said she was in too much pain to continue playing
France's top female tennis player and the current Wimbledon women's champion, Marion Bartoli, has said she is retiring from professional tennis.
Bartoli, 28, ranked seventh in the world, shocked journalists at a tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio, by tearfully announcing she was quitting.
Beset by injuries, she said her hips, Achilles tendon, shoulder and lower back hurt continuously when she played.
She had earlier been knocked out of the competition by Romania's Simona Halep.
"My body was really starting to fall apart and I was able to keep it together, go through the pain - with a lot of pain - throughout this Wimbledon and make it happen," she said at the Western & Southern Open.
"I have pain everywhere after 45 minutes or an hour of play. I've been doing this for so long. Body-wise, I can't do it any more."
Bartoli won her first Grand Slam title by beating Germany's Sabine Lisicki in the Wimbledon final.
She was the runner-up at Wimbledon in 2007.
"You know, everyone will remember my Wimbledon title. No-one will remember the last match I played here," she said.
"It's been a tough decision to take. I don't take this easily."

A veteran Sky News cameraman has been shot and killed while covering the violence in Cairo, the broadcaster has said.
Sixty-one-year-old Mick Deane had worked for Sky for 15 years. He was married with two sons.
Head of Sky News John Ryley paid tribute to an "experienced journalist" and "much-loved colleague".
Earlier Egyptian security forces stormed two protest camps in Cairo, with reports of dozens killed.
A state of emergency has been declared in the country after the army and riot police moved to clear the camps, which were occupied by supporters of deposed President Mohammed Morsi.
'Brave as a lion'
Deane - who was born in Hannover, Germany - had been part of Sky News' team covering the clashes with Middle East correspondent Sam Kiley. None of the other team members had been hurt, the broadcaster said.
In a statement Mr Ryley said: "Everyone at Sky News is shocked and saddened by Mick's death.
"He was a talented and experienced journalist who had worked with Sky News for many years. The loss of a much-loved colleague will be deeply felt across Sky News."

This is a big blow to the sky news company, brought me to ask this question, if you are a camera man would you face battle and camera on the field after this tragedy

Mouth bacteria may trigger bowel cancer

Mouth bacteria may trigger bowel cancer

Researchers say they have uncovered how bacteria may set off a chain reaction leading to bowel cancer.
Fusobacteria, commonly found in the mouth, cause overactive immune responses and turn on cancer growth genes, two US studies reveal.
The microbes had been linked with colorectal cancer before but it was not known whether they were directly involved in tumour growth.
Inside the mouth
The early findings are published in the journal Cell Host & Microbe.

In addition to potential new treatments, the discovery could lead to better early diagnosis and prevention, experts hope.
The first study, carried out by Harvard Medical School researchers, showed that fusobacteria were present in high numbers in adenomas - a benign bowel growth that can become cancerous over time.
